Miss Cynthia & Friends Present: Summer Art Show

I must say all is well to us artists, painters, sculptors, designers, photographers as we continue to create, experiment and share our work to our respective communites--inspite of all the doom and gloom news that we hear and read everyday. What a comfort to see artists friends, business collegues who never stop creating and promoting their works. I believe this is one of the best ways to survive a weak economy, not to mention keeping my sanity as well!
So what have I been up to lately? I am preparing to launch my new textile collection on shirts. After a four month hiatus due to a back and shoulder injury I am back to the drawing board. My acupuncturist said it is a pinched nerve.
I realized what an important tool our bodies are. I will not take it for granted ever again. Resting, stretching, exercise are all good. I started swimming regularly after of course a series of acupuncture treatments and voila, I feel normal again. I included ballroom dancing in my regimen. An added bonus to spark up those happy hormones!
So, here is the highlight to start off my summer : I will be showing a series of my textile art on digital prints, alreadty framed, ready to hang. I want to bring the idea that this form of art can be a decorative, fun item to collect. This is a group show with wonderful artists friends at Melrose, Hollywood on JULY 9!
